Police / Fire / Ambulance.

For any emergency Dial 999

(or 112 which is used in all EU countries to contact emergency services)

For those people with speech and hearing problems who cannot use a voice telephone to alert the emergency services there is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Emergency Short Message Service by texting one number from their mobile phone.

Text 80 999: Police - Fire and Rescue - Ambulance - Coastguard Emergency only service.

Use a new message window and text emergency message details, ie Fire - 13 High St - Somewhere - Anytown + which service needed and send to 80999.

Message is received at Police Control who alerts the emergency services.

It is important that you try to contact emergency services in other ways until you receive a reply to the text from police.
