The Hampshire Chronicle is to write a double page special feature on Kings Worthy including sub sections on Headbourne Worthy and Abbots Worthy, which will appear on Thursday 18 March.
They are seeking our help to take a large group photograph of as many friendly, enthusiastic and active village residents as possible for inclusion in the feature.
For the last feature on Colden Common Village they managed to include 200 people.
The Chronicle is asking if The Worthys can beat that.
Of course we can!
Anything Colden Common can do, we can do better, so let's see a good turn-out next Saturday, come rain or shine.
We can't be beaten, can we?
When: 1pm, Saturday 13 March
Where: Church Green, London Road,
(next to St Mary’s Church.)
Can You Be There?
We would like as many people to be there, hundreds if possible! There will be only one shot at this photo call! So make this date in your diary.
The feature itself will be around 1,000 words long, including a history of the villages and up-beat stories about people who live here and make up our community.
If anyone has any interesting facts or stories about the villages, please call Ash Bolton, Senior Winchester Reporter, Hampshire Chronicle on 01962 890755 Or email ash.bolton@dailyecho.co.uk |
