Conservation Volunteers First Project for 2010

The Worthy Conservation Volunteers will be undertaking their first project of 2010

When:  Saturday 16 January, 10.30am,
Where: Nuns Walk, Headbourne Worthy
Meet:  At office car park (Bacardi- Brown Forman House), Church Green Close grid ref SU 491 321.

 

As part of their Nuns Walk Improvement Plan Phase 2, which commenced in the Autumn 2009 this task will see the volunteers completing the improvement work to Nuns Walk (FP701), including replacing the two sleeper bridges on the footpath. 

 

Making the bridges wider to fit the path width and clearing channels to improve water flows.


All welcome - don't forget to bring refreshments and wear suitable clothing and tough footwear.

 

Tools, gloves and hard-hats will be supplied.

 

Please arrive promptly for task briefing and safety talk, and adhere to safety practices at all times.


New members will be warmly welcomed.
