Due to the adverse weather in January, The Worthy Conservation Volunteers first project of 2010 had to be cancelled.

When:

Saturday 20 February, 10.30am

Where:

Nuns Walk, Headbourne Worthy

Meet:

At office car park (Bacardi- Brown Forman House), Church Green Close grid ref SU 491 321.

As part of their Nuns Walk Improvement Plan Phase 2, which commenced in the Autumn 2009, this task will see the volunteers completing the improvement work to Nuns Walk (FP701), by replacing the two sleeper bridges on the footpath.

The work will involve digging out of the old sleepers and making ready the positions for the two new bridges – the bridges are to be repositioned slightly to follow the line of the recently raised section of footpath.

All welcome - don't forget to bring refreshments and wear suitable clothing and tough footwear.

Tools, gloves and hard-hats will be supplied.

Please arrive promptly for task briefing and safety talk, and adhere to safety practices at all times.

New members will be warmly welcomed.
