Following the highly successful inaugural Worthys Festival meeting last month, the first meeting of the recently formed Festival Steering Group for this major Worthy village’s event will be held on Wednesday 25th August at 7.30pm.
The meeting will be discussing the first draft of the Proposal Document which explains what is planned for the event at this stage.
An official launch of the Worthys Festival 2011 is planned for Saturday 6 November 2010, details and venue to be announced.
The Worthys Festival will be a celebration of life in the communities of Kings Worthy, Headbourne Worthy and Abbots Worthy – The Worthys. It will involve as many different community groups and organisations as possible, and will include events which will appeal to the whole community, old and young, artistic and musical, sporty and social.
