Winchester City Council and Winchester BID are working together to make the first Thursday of every month a more enjoyable early evening in Winchester, as part of the designated late night shopping evening on Thursdays in the city.
The first Thursdays of August, September, October and November will see a range of food, arts, crafts, music and late-night shopping on Winchester High Street.
Why not pop along after work or in the evening with your family for a relaxed party atmosphere between 4pm and 8pm. The High Street will be the place to be, and the events will be supported by local shops, cafes and restaurants.
Each 'First Thursday' party will have a theme, starting in August with ‘families’.
Throughout the four months, there will be live music from the likes of trio Red Jackson and steel band Hurricane Force, local food for sale with free tasters, and excellent art and crafts for sale too.
Each Thursday event will feature businesses from around the city, who will display the First Thursdays poster as a sign that they are taking part.
