Kings Worthy Litter Pick

This page was last updated on Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Litter pickers10 adults and 6 children set out on a litter pick around Kings Worthy village last Saturday.

Between them they collected 13 bags of rubbish.

Kings Worthy Primary School supplied the art work for the advertising posters and carried out their own litter pick around the school, on the Friday afternoon.

On their travels the volunteers found several bits of broken sledge left over from the snowy adventures earlier in the year.

Less pleasant they found numerous bags of dog poo left on the ground or sometimes hanging on bushes.

We would encourage all dog owners not only to scoop the poop but then put it in one of the many dog litter bins around.

In the picture:

Cllr Sarah White, James Morgan, Kirstie Andrew-Power, Debbie Morgan, Joe Lowres, Tom Andrew-Power and Emma Lowres, the children are those of the adults present, all from Kings Worthy. We also had two other Parish Councillors along, Denis Welstead (behind the camera) and Rosemary Sign along with her husband.
