 The worthys website www.theworthys.org.uk has won the Hampshire Association of Local Councils 2009 Best Website Award.
The award was announced at the HALC AGM on 10th October at The Performing Arts Centre, St Swithun‟s School. The two other finalists were Fair Oak & Horton Heath Parish Council and Ringwood Town Council.
The Worthys community website is a joint venture between Headbourne Worthy and Kings Worthy Parish Councils. It went live in September 2008
and has been designed and is maintained by our professional web team TLC Online.
The website provides villagers with a "one stop shop" of news and events in the two villages together with a wealth of other useful information.
Why not use it to advertise your next village event or even advertise your business in the Business Directory for a small annual fee? It really is worth
taking a look - you will be surprised at its useful and diverse content. If you don't have access to the internet, the new Discovery Centre in Winchester offers computers for people to use.
The Worthys website has also been nominated for two categories in the 7th Hants Web Awards 2009; those short listed will be named at the
beginning of November and the finalists announced in January 2010, with the Awards made in early February.
