The valiant parents’ team were defeated once again by the coaches at this years’ annual fundraising event.
Despite the slightly chilly breeze, the event was well attended.
The children were invited to “Soak their Coach” in the stocks with wet sponges, “Beat the Goalie” and there was a Bouncy Castle and Bungee Run, the latter a hit with the teenagers too.
There was an ever popular cake stall, “Timbola”, run by Tim Beanland and a Handbag Throwing competition.
Lots to keep folks entertained, quite apart from the main event.
Chika Akpobire won the Lucky Programme prize of a hospitality ticket for two to see the Harlequins this season and Keelie Duncan won the sweepstake “Tom’s Treble” with the nearest guess for the half time, final score and time of the first goal
The FA Charter Standard club made £500 to go towards kit and equipment for the Worthys, an entirely voluntary club for children in Kings Worthy aged from 7 to 18
