Did you know:

  • Uninsulated cavity walls lose 35% of your heat
  • Uninsulated lofts lose 25% of your heat
  • You could be entitled to free or discounted insulation?

If you are over 70 or a benefit recipient and own or privately rent your home, you could get free loft and cavity wall insulation. If not, you could still get the insulation carried out at a 50% discount.

This is through the Governments’ Carbon Emission Reduction Target (CERT) scheme which is an initiative whereby the Government charges the big power companies with the challenge of reducing their customers’ need for gas and electricity by making their homes more energy efficient. Not only is this aimed at helping the environment by lowering carbon emissions but it can save you a lot of money too. As fuel is increasingly expensive it’s a great time to take advantage of this scheme.

So why not look at getting your home insulated now in time for winter?
