Kings Worthy Parish Council is pleased to announce that the application to build 62 homes on Tudor Way has been rejected by Winchester City Council's Planning Development Control Committee.
Following the committee’s meeting on 23 April, the members opted to make a visit to the site on 11 May – this resulted in their reject decision, made due to concerns about the density of the plan and the feeling that it would harm the character of the area.

The KWPC Planning Committee has always had concerns over the proposed development (see the committee minutes of September 2007 and October 2008 for further details).
Residents from the area around Tudor Way have attended a number of planning meetings since the development was first proposed and requested the Committee to support them in
objecting to the application.
We have no doubt that a further application to develop the site will be made in future - please keep an eye out for orange notices in the local area and KWPC Planning Committee agendas (posted on this web site and on the village notice boards). |
