The over 60s in Kings Worthy will soon have the opportunity to undertake exercise at their own pace and become some of the fittest people in the village.
Kings Worthy Parish Council are pleased to report that Winchester City Council has approved the funding of Exercise Equipment for the Over 60s from the Open Space Fund.
Five pieces of equipment will be located adjacent to the Tubbs Hall in Fraser Road, together with two seats in a bespoke fenced area.
It is hoped that work on this new facility can commence by end of April and will be available for use by the early summer.
The project results from an initial petition from senior parishioners, with whom the Parish Council have undertaken extensive consultation on the choice of equipment. |
