Maypole Dancers Last Year's Plant Stall
Kings Worthy Church & Village Fete
There has been an annual fete in King’s Worthy for as long as anyone can remember; certainly for the last eighty years and possibly much longer.

The fete is organised by members of St Mary’s Church and part of the proceeds goes to local organisations.

Planning has already started for the 2009 fete which will be held on Church Green on Bank Holiday afternoon,
Monday 25 May.

After three consecutive years of wet fete days, we have been reliably informed that fine weather has been ordered for this year.

In addition to stalls run by members of the church, local charities and other organisations also take stalls, as do traders selling arts, crafts and a variety of other goods.

No fete would be complete without the traditional stalls such as coconut shy and bottle tombola, these and many other attractions will be there.

There will be a programme of entertainment for both adults and children and, of course there will be traditional refreshments in the Jubilee Hall.

In order to ensure the fete is another resounding success the committee are keen to encourage local organisations and individuals to become involved at this early planning stage for the event.

Local organisations interested in taking a stall and anyone who would like to run a stall, are invited to contact Paul Bright on 01962 862395 or email: paulbright1@googlemail.com

Whilst anyone who is interested in being involved in the organisation of the fete will be very welcome indeed and should contact Malcolm Wood on 01962 882901 or email: Malcolm.wood1@btinternet.com
