Stallholders
St Swithun’s Summer Fayre
Enjoying the day
St Swithun's Church, Headbourne Worthy Summer Fayre, on Saturday 25 August, was a great success and enjoyed by over a hundred people.

The gazebos and stalls were set up in the beautiful garden of The Manor House belonging to Ann and Peter Anker.

Ann's kitchen was taken over by wonderful cakes, which were sold and also served with cups of tea.

The sun shone which enabled everyone to enjoy all the various activities and relax over a delicious tea, but at 4pm the evitable happened, the heavens opened with torrential rain and lightening and we were all obliged to take shelter!

Fortunately, most people had finished their teas, bought from the stalls and the raffle had been drawn, so it brought the Fayre to a natural conclusion.

We made £1170 which was above our expectations, so we were all absolutely delighted.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated cakes, raffle prizes, and items for the various stalls.

As well as those who supported the event by coming along. All of which greatly contributed to this wonderful result for the church funds.

We look forward to seeing you all again at our next event.
