Kings Worthy Parish Council recently led a litter picking operation around the village.

It was very well supported and a great success.

Well over 22 residents and volunteers in addition to Parish Councillors turned out to help maintain Kings Worthy’s beautiful environment.

Their hard work and efforts were supported by the pupils at the Primary School who produced posters to advertise the event and did their own litter picking operation around school on the previous day.

The volunteers covered a large part of the village and collected over 20 bags of rubbish, making it much tidier for the spring.

After all the fresh air and their hard work everyone enjoyed some welcome refreshments at the Tubbs Hall.
