Kings Worthy Parish Council has recently completed a programme of refurbishment of the bench seats within the village, including those in the recreation areas of Eversley Park and Hinton Park.
A total of 24 seats have been refurbished with the timber slates replaced on many with both new and existing slats being treated to preserve the seats at a cost of £4000.
Funding has come directly from the Parish Council budget.
With springtime now firmly here, it is hoped that the residents of Kings Worthy will enjoy the facilities around the village for quiet reflection and relaxation during these stressful times for many people, resulting from the credit crunch. |
