Headbourne Worthy Concerned about Fly Tipping

This page was last updated on Saturday, April 25, 2009

Fly TippingHeadbourne Worthy Parish Council are concerned about increased fly tipping which is becoming a greater problem, particularly at the top end of Down Farm Lane towards the Three Maids Hill roundabout.

Fly tipping is unsightly, can cause health problems, it is also illegal and can involve heavy fines for the offenders.

Most household items can be taken to the local Household Waste Recycling Centre free of charge or collected for a small fee.

The Parish Council is asking residents to be extra vigilant when driving or walking around the village.

Should you see somebody who you believe is dumping rubbish please try to take note of the registration number, the make and colour of the vehicle concerned.

This should then be reported as soon as possible to WCC Environmental Health Dept on 01962 840222 or online using the Fly Tipping Reporting Form.

By every one being more vigilant it is hoped that this increasing unsightly problem can be eliminated, so maintaining the beautiful environment of the village for both residents and visitors.
