| Church Green Hedge |
Following extensive public consultation Kings Worthy Parish Council has agreed to a the removal of the tall conifer hedge beside Church Green.
The removal of what many see as a dark and oppressive feature will open up the area with attractive views towards St Mary's Church.
The plan is to replace the hedge with estate style fencing and a lower hedge of native species.
The mature specimen trees will remain.
The Council has held a meeting with local residents and the Church Council so that everyone knows what is planned and has sought views about other features that might be part of the landscape plan. |
