Are you a Worthy Volunteer? Can you spare some time to help others?

A range of organisations in the Worthys offer activities to add to the welfare and social opportunities for people of all ages. They all depend on upon the goodwill and varying amounts of time from volunteers to enable them to continue to function.

 

This appeal is particularly directed to possible new helpers to provide services for the elderly – Meals on Wheels, The Neighbourcare and the Trolley Shop for residents of Cornerways.

 

If you would like more information or can offer help, please contact:

Meals on Wheels organised by WRVS for Adult Services, need drivers to deliver meals twice weekly. Contact Mrs Rosemary Howland Tel: 864989

 

The Lunch Club meets one Thursday each month in St Mary’s Church Rooms. Need drivers to transport elderly people and helpers who serve the meals.

The Cornerways Trolley Shop needs helpers once a week who are able to push a trolley with confectionery and toiletries to sell to residents. Contact Miss Gillian Evans Tel: 850068
