Hampshire ConstabularyHampshire Constabulary is responsible for policing Headbourne Worthy and Kings Worthy. Both villages are in the Winchester West Sector of Winchester District, which is part of the Hampshire Police, Central Operational Command Unit (Central OCU).

 

The Northgate Safer Neighbourhoods Team is responsible for policing our community. The local Beat Police Officer for Headbourne Worthy is PC Don Hagger. Whilst in Kings Worthy & Abbots Worthy it is PC Robin Tebb.

 

In addition as part of the team, there are two Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) Sarah Brazier in Kings Worthy and Kerry Croutear in Headbourne Worthy.

 

You will see all of the officers out and about in the area patrolling both on bikes, walking and in police vehicles.

Beat Surgeries
The Northgate SNT teams in both Headbourne Worthy and Kings Worthy have regular monthly beat surgeries. These surgeries are an opportunity for local residents to come and meet their Community Police Officer and PCSO to discuss any problems or concerns they have. They can offer advice on crime prevention and security, anti social behaviour and neighbour problems, motoring issues or any other related concern. All will be dealt with in confidence.

 

Beat Surgeries dates

 

Headbourne Worthy:  

Where: Good Life Garden Centre, Springvale Road                                               

When:  Saturday 30 January 2010.  12.00 to 13.00pm (only on this date)
Other dates will be Saturday 27 Mar, 5 June, 31 July and 25 Sept but at the later time of 13.00 to 14.00pm

Kings Worthy: 

Where: Tubbs Hall Community Centre, Fraser Road
When:  Sundays 14.00 to 15.00pm on the following dates:
24 Jan, 21 Feb, 21 Mar, 18 Apr,16 May, 13 Jun, 11 Jul, 8 Aug, 5 Sept, 3 Oct, 28 Nov.

101 Single Non-Emergency Number
From April 2009 the 101 Service (Single Non-Emergency Number) is provided by Hampshire Constabulary. Hampshire and the Isle of Wight 101 can now be called for all non-emergency contact with Hampshire Constabulary.

 

This includes the reporting of crime as well as anti-social behaviour, abandoned vehicles, fly tipping, doorstep crime, contacting an officer or a member of staff, as well as general advice and information.

 

Calls cost a flat rate of 10p from any landline or mobile phone, and are free of charge from public phone boxes.
