“A parish plan helps to identify priorities, manage change, and encourage people of all ages to have a greater say in the future of their locality.”
After the initial meeting last November, a small Steering Group has been busy doing the groundwork for the Kings Worthy Parish Plan.
It has been identifying key facilities, services and activities in the village, investigating housing and population statistics, painting a broad picture of the Parish’s environment and looking at transport issues.
The aim once collection of baseline information is finished is to start finding out where the gaps are!
We will be wanting your views and to that end will be consulting various groups in the village come September.
Later, possibly at the start of 2010 it is hoped to undertake a more comprehensive survey with a variety of forms to make the whole process more interesting for everyone involved.
After producing the Plan the challenge will be to make sure that things do happen – whether through the Parish Council, Winchester City Council or local groups and organisations.
We will keep you in touch with progress through the news page on this website, the parish plan website www.parish-plan.com and the parish church magazine.
