  • Eversley Park Paths – Cycling – Charlotte Smith shared with members her group’s initiatives on facilitating cycling to school on the paths at Eversley Park which currently have no cycling signs. Advice from the HCC Rights of Way Officer highlighted two options to allow cycling; the establishment of a permitted route or a local agreement with the school.

Members discussed the options, considering the safety aspects, the costs of changing the signs etc. and decided to trial a local agreement with the school during the summer term. Charlotte agreed to contact HCC for further advice on such an experiment.

  • Barbecues – Derek Brockway shared with members the disappointment of the organisers of the village fete and scout AGM that they were not permitted to hold barbecues on Church Green within the new draft bye-laws.
