Minutes of the AGM held on Monday, 9th June 2010
at 7.30 pm at Kings Worthy Community Centre, Fraser Road, Kings Worthy
Present:

PC/10/01 Apologies
There were no apologies for absence.
PC/10/02 Nominations and voting for Chairman
The names of two councillors were proposed for the position of chairman;
Cllr D.Welstead - nominated by Cllr M.Prince – seconded by Cllr D.Young
Cllr S. White – nominated by Cllr P. Warrener – seconded by Cllr R.Sign
There was a 6:6 voting tie and a decision was made to select the new chair by tossing a coin.
Cllr S. White was elected and signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
Cllr White thanked members for their support and looked forward to working with them. She paid tribute to those councillors who were not re-elected.
AGM/10/03 Nomination and voting for Vice-Chairman
The name of one councillor was proposed for the position of vice-chairman;
Cllr P. Warrener – nominated by Cllr I Gordon – seconded by Cllr S.White
Cllr P. Warrener was elected and signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
AGM/10/04 Appointments to Committees
Councillors selected the following committees on which to serve;
- Recreation and Amenities Committee – Cllrs Bohle, Read, Prince, Steventon Baker, Sign, White and Young
- Finance Committee – Cllrs Barnes, Bohle, Gordon, Prince, Welstead and White
- Planning and Highways Committee – Cllrs Andrew-Power, Barnes, Gordon, Steventon Baker, Warrener, Welstead and Young
Committee chairman and vice-chairman are to be elected at the first meeting of the committee following this AGM.
AGM/10/05 Appointment of Representatives
The following appointments were agreed;
- Newsletter Editor – Cllrs Andrew-Power and White
- Police Partnership Forum – Cllrs Barnes and Gordon
- School Governor – Cllr White
- Tubbs Hall Management Committee – Cllrs Read and Welstead
- Transport Forum – Cllr Barnes and Warrener
- Winchester Charities Trust – Cllr Sign
- Winchester District Association of Parish Councils – Cllr Warrener
- Winchester and District Community Services - Cllr Steventon Baker
- Worthies Sports and Social Club – Cllrs Andrew-Power and Sign
- Parish Plan – Cllrs Read and Prince
- Representative for Abbots Worthy – Cllr Gordon [until co-option to a vacancy]

The next AGM will be on the 16 May 2011.
