RA/09/12 Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs James and Welstead.

RA/09/13 Public Question Time

None

RA/09/14 Minutes of the Meeting held on 8 January 2009

The minutes were agreed as true record of the meeting were signed by Cllr Sign.

RA/09/15 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 8 January 2009

 

  • RA/09/09 Springvale Road Bus Shelter – Approval had been received for a replacement metal panel and the order placed.

RA/09/16 Ground Supervisor’s Report

Members discussed the latest report from Kelvin Mason.

  • KWC - it was agreed that the clerk should obtain a quotation for replacing the shrubs at the KWC from Scandor and submit it to the Finance Committee for approval. Action – the clerk

  • The Green - similarly a quotation should be obtained for mulching the raised flowerbed.
    Action – the clerk


  • Broadview – the clerk reported that Cllr Johnston was discussing the conifers with the residents. The results will be shared at the next meeting. Action – the clerk

  • Scandor – the clerk was asked to arrange a review meeting with Scandor.

 

RA/09/17 Project Updates

The clerk tabled a project status report [Copy attached].

  • Eversley Park – Car Park – Cllr Sign reported that we had requested a review of the specification for the work by the WCC Drainage Engineer to ensure that it would alleviate the problems.

  • Church Green – Cllr Sign shared with members the discussions at the recent meeting with the landscape architect and contractor.

    The work is scheduled to start later this month with completion before Easter. Cllrs Sign and Marshall agreed to mark the boundary with the church.

    The clerk is to chase approval for the power and water points. Samples of the estate fencing will be made available by the contractor. The wording on signage is to be agreed.

    A site meeting to agree the location of items such as the seats was arranged for 10am on the 13 February 2009.

  • Equipment for the Over 60’s – the application for Open Space funding has been submitted to WCC.

  • Firs Crescent – the contractor is completing the planting schedule.

  • Open Space Funding - Members agreed that a listing of projects from Open Space funding should be placed on the web-site together with the costs involved. Action – Cllr Sign/the clerk

 

RA/09/18 Litter Pick

Cllr White confirmed that the litter pick is still scheduled for the 28 March 2009. She is to approach WCC for assistance with plastic bags, gloves etc.

Members agreed that the litter pick should be focused on the area north of Eversley Park.

The clerk was asked to investigate the accumulation of tins at Eversley Park which was highlighted in the recent edition of the WCV’s Newsletter. Action – the clerk

RA/09/19 Newsletter

It was agreed that the Newsletters for 2009 should be scheduled for mid June and November.

RA/09/20 Clerks Notices

None

RA/09/21 Chairman’s Notices

  • Meeting with the WSSC – the clerk was asked to schedule another review meeting.
    Action – the clerk

  • Message in a Bottle – Cllr Sign agreed to check the success of this project with the surgery, whereby details of patient’s drugs were kept in a container in their refrigerator.
    Action – Cllr Sign

 

RA/009/22 Date of next meeting

The next meeting was scheduled at 7.30 pm on the 5 March 2009.

The meeting closed at 8.58pm.
