RA/09/77 Apologies for Absence

RA/09/78 Public Question Time

RA/09/79 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 3 September 2009
The minutes were agreed as true record of the meeting were signed by Cllr Sign.
RA/09/80 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 3 September 2009
- RA/09/68 Parish Plan – Climate Change – Cllr Welstead had compiled articles on insulation for the newsletter and was to place posters on the parish notice boards.
Cllr White indicated that Charlotte Smith was willing to assist in any PC/Parish Plan initiatives.
RA/09/81 Burial Ground – Registrar’s Report
Members noted the registrar’s report on the burial ground.
RA/09/82 Website
Cllr Sign confirmed that the clerks would undertake the role of co-ordinators for the website with the chairman’s involvement in vetting any articles. Action – the clerks
Members agreed that a letter should be sent to the chairman of Headbourne Worthy PC thanking them for the considerable involvement and effort of Dennis Curling in establishing the website; however the time had now come for articles from Kings Worthy to be sent direct to the website designers. Action – the clerk
RA/09/83 Project Updates
The clerk tabled a project status report [Copy attached].
- Eversley Park – Improvements to the Entrance to the Bottom football Pitch etc – Cllr Sign informed members that the start of this project was now imminent.
- Church Green – this projected had now been completed. The clerk updated members on the commemorative hydraulic ram. It is to be sited on a plinth at the entrance to Church Green Close. The unveiling has been arranged for 2.30pm on the 24 October 2009 by Charles Doble the MD of Green and Carter.
- Fraser Road – Equipment for the Over 60s – Members expressed their considerable satisfaction at the successful opening by the mayor and the coverage on both radio and TV, and in the local press. There had been significant interest in the project from other organisations.
RA/09/84 Newsletter
Cllr White shared with members the draft format of the next newsletter.
Councillors suggested amendments on the content, but overall congratulated Cllr White on the edition.
It was agreed that another litter-pick should be undertaken at 1.30pm on the 14 November 2009.
RA/09/85 Budget 2010-11
The clerk presented the draft budget for 2010-11. Members discussed the figures and agreed that it should be presented to the Finance Committee.
Members agreed that the Grounds Maintenance Contract should be extended for a further 3 months, so that it would synchronise with the start of the financial year on the 1 April 2010. Action – the clerk
It was also agreed that it would be appropriate for the handyman to undergo a CRB check. Action – the clerk
RA/09/86 Clerk’s Notices
- 122-128 Lovedon Lane – the clerk had circulated details of the path on Upper Broadview which is to be installed as part of the S106 Agreement with the developer. Technical advice was being sought from WCC; however members agreed that a path level with the ground looked to be the more appropriate option. Action – the clerk
