at the Kings Worthy Community Centre, Fraser Road, Kings Worthy
Present:
Councillors: Peter Warrener [Chairman]
Dawn-Marie Cox
Tony Jacobs
Denis Welstead
Clerk: Colin Arnett
Public: 1
P/09/100 Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs Gordon and Sign.
P/09/101 Public Question Time
The one member of the public shared his concerns with councillors regarding the planning application for Ramblers, 2 Park Lane, Abbots Worthy. He was particularly concerned with regard to the inaccuracies in the application, the over-development of the area and the increase in traffic. This increase has resulted from other developments in Park Lane, and vehicles using the lane as a “cut through” which contributes to the dangerous junction with the B3047.
P/09/102 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 26 August 2009
The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and signed by Cllr Warrener.

Ramblers 2 Park Lane
Erection of detached dwelling
|
Object |
Members wish to object to this proposal. They consider it to be an over-
development, out of character with the neighbouring properties [contrary to DP3]
and will add to the traffic problems in Park Lane and at the junction of the B3047.
Members still wish to pursue a reduction of the speed limit through Abbots
Worthy to 30mph.
They wish the application to be referred to committee.

Erection of a three bedroom house
|
Object |
Members wish to object to this proposal. They consider the design to be out of
context with the neighbouring properties [DP3 para’ ii] and that making room for the new building will reduce the amenity space available to no. 75 to an unacceptable level. The application therefore has an adverse impact on the adjoining property [DP3 para’ vii].
