P/09/55 Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence had been received from Cllr Welstead.
Cllr Gordon welcomed Cllr Jacobs as a member of the committee and Cllr Young to the meeting. Cllr Gordon expressed his regret at Cllr Pidduck’s resignation from the Parish Council. His expertise and enthusiasm as a member of the Planning Committee will be sadly missed.
P/09/56 Election of Chairman
Cllr Gordon was elected chairman of the committee, being proposed by Cllr Sign and seconded by Cllr Warrener.

P/09/58 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 29 April 2009
The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and signed by Cllr Gordon.
P/09/59 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 29 April 2009
- P/09/47 Barton Farm – Members again expressed their concerns regarding the impact of additional traffic on Wellhouse Lane and London Road.
- P/09/52 – Land at Tudor Way – Cllr Gordon had attended the WCC Planning Development Control Committee Meeting and shared with members the decision to reject the proposal.
- P/09/53 – Motocross – Cllr Gordon understood that not all of the residents in South Wonston were against the proposals

- Woodhams Farm/Point Seven - Letters had been received from WCC indicating that the applications for Woodhams Farm, Springvale Road and Point Seven, Martyr Worthy Road are to be considered at the Planning Development Control Committee Meeting on the 28 May 2009.
- Householder Planning Appeals – the clerk had circulated an email from WCC to Denmead PC regarding the changes to householder appeals.

P/09/65 Chairman’s Notices
- 09/00530/FUL - Point Seven Martyr Worthy Road – Cllr Gordon shared with members the concerns of objectors to this proposed development, whereby orange notices and letters to neighbours had not been forthcoming, letters of objection had been lost and site appointments missed by WCC. He agreed to pursue the matter. Action – Cllr Gordon
- Planning Committee Responsibilities – Members agreed with Cllr Gordon’s proposals that matters relating to highways, parking, speed restrictions etc should be within the remit of the Planning Committee.
