The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and were signed by Cllr James.
P/08/04 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 28 November 2007
- P/07/81 14 Springvale Road – Replacement Bus Shelter – Cllr Johnston and the clerk had attended a site meeting with the developer and officers from WCC. The developer is to move the existing bus shelter as per the 106 Agreement.
Cllr Sign asked the clerk to chase BT on the refurbishment of the adjacent telephone box.

- P/07/82 Abbots Worthy House – Cllr Cox reported that she was unaware of any further developments regarding the sale of this property.
- P/07/82 HALC Planning Workshop 7 February 2008 – Cllrs Pidduck and Warrener are to attend this event.

Cllr Cox expressed her concerns regarding the apparent disregard by WCC of the comments of the committee in respect of developments within Abbots Worthy.
She was particularly concerned on the application to fell a silver birch tree at 2 Mill Lane. No notification had been received, no orange notices displayed and no neighbour consultation had taken place. The clerk was asked to raise the matter with WCC.

P/08/07 Clerk’s Notices
- Notice of Appeal – letters had been received from WCC informing members of notice of appeal for the developments at 62 Lovedon Lane and Tudor Way.
- Henry Beaufort School – a letter had been received from HCC confirming that they had granted permission for a new synthetic turf pitch, fencing, floodlighting and associated landscape work.
- WCC Core Strategy – Issues and Options – a copy of this document had been received.
P/08/08 Chairman’s Notices
- Save the South – Cllr James circulated documents from this organisation to members from a recent seminar she had attended.
- South Downs National Park – Cllr Cox asked how the formulation of the national park would affect the planning procedures for developments in Abbots Worthy. The clerk was asked to research the matter.

- Development at Hillrise Lovedon Lane – Cllr Sign queried this development which was being used as living accommodation. Cllr Pidduck agreed to investigate.
