Minutes of the Meeting held on Wednesday 28 May 2008

P/08/37 Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs Sign and Welstead. Cllr James welcomed Cllr Gordon to the committee.

P/08/38 Election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman

Cllr Pidduck proposed Cllr James as chairman and this was seconded by Cllr Warrener.

 

Cllr James proposed Cllr Warrener as vice-chairman and this was seconded by Cllr Pidduck

P/08/39 Public Question Time

None

P/08/40 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 30 April 2008

The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and were signed by Cllr James.

P/08/41 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 30 April 2008

  1. P/08/31 14 Springvale Road – WCC have indicated that they are pursuing the repositioning of the bus shelter.                                                                                                                                                                               
  2. P/08/31 Hillrise Lovedon Lane – this is with the Planning Enforcement team.                                                                                                                                        
  3. P/08/34 Land at Tudor Way – Cllrs Pidduck and Warrener reported back on the public inquiry held on the 20/21 May 2008. Cllr Pidduck expressed his continuing concerns regarding the criteria applied to the application and agreed to continue to seek clarification from WCC. Action – Cllr Pidduck
                                                                                                          
  4. P/08/34 Proposed development Springvale Road/Willis Waye – Cllr Gordon updated members on the confusing status of this development. The clerk was asked to clarify the application with WCC.

P/08/44 Clerk’s Notices

  • Kingsworthy Foundry – notification had been received from Headbourne Worthy PC regarding a planning application to demolish the showroom and changes to other units. Whilst members appreciated the information, they decided not to make any representation.
  • 07/02738/FUL Verwood Cottage London Road – details had been received from the planning officer involved with this application outlining the criteria in the decision. Members remained dissatisfied with the explanation.

 

P/08/45 Chairman’s Notices

 

  • Enforcement Notices – Members discussed the latest listing received from WCC.

 

  • Footpath Ownership - Cllr Warrener outlined a request from the Tenants Association to identify the ownership of the footpaths within the parish. Members agreed that it was for the other authorities involved to provide such information. Cllr Warrener agreed to liaise with the TA. Action – Cllr Warrener

  • The next meeting was arranged for 7.30 pm on the 25 June 2008.
