P/08/10 Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs James and Welstead.
P/08/11 Public Question Time
The member of the public shared his concerns with councillors regarding the development at 106 Springvale Road. These centred on the proposed number of properties and the loss of green areas.
P/08/12 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 30 January 2008.
The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting with one amendment - P/08/06 delete “Abbots Worthy” add “the parish” - and were signed by Cllr Warrener.
P/08/13 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 30 January 2008
- P/08/04 14 Springvale Road – the clerk reported that BT had given assurances that the refurbishment of the telephone box would be completed by the 31 March 2008. Members asked the clerk to chase the repositioning of the bus shelter.

- P/08/04 Abbots Worthy House – Cllr Cox reported that she was unaware of any further developments.
- P/08/04 HALC Planning Workshop 7 February 2008 – Cllr Warrener thanked Cllr Pidduck for attending the workshop and for circulating his notes.
- P/08/06 Planning Decisions – the clerk reported that he had contacted the arboricultural officer at WCC to clarify the situation regarding tree works in a conservation area. All tree works have to be formally notified; however there is no obligation on the local authority to formally consult on trees which do not have a TPO.
Cllr Cox expressed her concerns that WCC were not taking into account the committee’s comments. She highlighted the recent application for an extension on Verwood Cottage, London Road. The clerk was asked to circulate details of the decision for discussion at the next meeting.

- P/08/08 South Downs National Park – the clerk informed members that proposals are for the Nation Park Authority to take responsibility for planning development. However responsibility is likely to be delegated to the existing planning authorities.
- P/08/08 Hillrise Lovedon Lane – Cllr Warrener thanked Cllr Pidduck for taking photographs of this completed development. These had been forward to the enforcement team at WCC.

P/08/16 Clerk’s Notices
- Proposed Changes to Planning Applications – a letter had been received from HCC regarding the introduction of a set of standardised national planning and related application forms [1 APP] on or after 6 April 2008.
Cllr Pidduck express concerns regarding the proposed computer space for comment and agreed to check the new procedure.

- Land of Hookpit Farm Lane – the clerk distributed copies for the WCC consultation letter sent to local residents regarding the amendment to the Section 106 Agreement for the development of 25 no. affordable dwellings.
Members asked the clerk to liaise with Cllr Johnston with regard to responding to the letter.

P/08/17 Chairman’s Notices
- Exhibition on the Proposed Development on Springvale Road – Members expressed their disappointment with the exhibition. After some discussion it was decided not to comment until the formal outline planning application had been received.
