P/08/93 Apologies for Absence
There were no apologies for absence. Cllr Warrener welcomed Cllr Cox to the meeting.
P/08/94 Appointment of Chairman
Cllr Warrener reported that Cllr James had resigned from the Committee and therefore a new chairman had to be appointed. Cllr Warrener proposed Cllr Gordon and this was seconded by Cllr Pidduck. All members voted in favour.
Cllr Cox had also resigned from the committee as the standing orders prohibited a councillor being on all committees. Cllr Gordon wished to record his thanks to both councillors for their work on the Planning Committee.
P/08/95 Public Question Time
The following prospective applicants gave presentations to the Committee and answer questions from members;
- Mr R White on the proposed additional playing fields at Princes Mead School.
Under the Code of Conduct Cllr Cox declared a prejudicial interest in this prospective application and left the room.
- Mr R Waite was unable to attend the meeting to present his proposals for Hilmarton & Temberlaye Edinburgh Road. Members felt unable to comment on the scheme until they had received more detail.
- Members of the public shared their concerns with members regarding the retrospective application for 28 Felmer Drive and the traffic movements associated with the scheme at Hilmarton and Temberlaye Edinburgh Road.
P/08/96 Minutes of the Meeting held on the 29 October 2008
The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and were signed by Cllr Gordon. Members wished to thank Cllr Pidduck for his input into the response for Tudor Way.
P/08/97 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 29 October 2008
- P/08/87 155 Springvale Road - The clerk had circulated an email from the case office indicating that the application was being recommended for refusal.
- P/08/87 ID Badges – Cllr Cox reported that the ID badges would be shortly available to members. Arrangements are to be made for those who missed the photography session.
- P/08/90 E-Planning – the clerk reported that he had received an acknowledgement to his letter to WCC.

The proposed use needs clarification as the photographs show double doors at the front and one on the side contrary to the application.

P/08/100 Clerk’s Notices
- Enforcement Notices – Members discussed the latest listing from WCC.
P/08/101 Chairman’s Notices
- The Pastures – Building Work – Cllr Warrener expressed his continuing concerns regarding the obstruction to the pavement from this work. The clerk was asked to write to HCC and the Health & Safety Executive to try to resolve the problems. Action – the clerk
- Environmental Issues – Cllr Welstead expressed his concerns that his recommendations were not being actioned on environmental issues. It was agreed that he should draft a letter for the clerk to send to WCC. Action – Cllr Welstead/clerk
Members also agreed that consideration should be given to include articles on environmental issues in the newsletter.
