P/07/39 Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence had been received from Cllr Pidduck.
Cllr James welcomed Cllr Welstead to the Committee.
P/07/40 Public Question Time
Neil Holmes from Quayside Architects and a colleague gave a presentation on their proposed development at 122-126 Lovedon Lane and its interface with Upper Broadview.
Members expressed their concerns over the outcome on Broadview and agreed that a site meeting should be convened at 6 pm on the 4 July 2007 for members of both the Planning and R&A Committees. The clerk was asked to circulate details of the proposed development.
Action – the clerk
Neil Holmes will be attending the July R&A Committee. Members agreed that a decision on including Upper Broadview within the “red line” of the development should be deferred for discussion at that meeting
Tony Jacobs gave members an update on the proposed development at 1 Campion Way.
Cllr Warrener expressed his concerns over the “creeping development” which is having an adverse affect on the character of the village. Members supported his comments.
Mike Lomas signed his declaration of acceptance to become a parish councillor which was witnessed by the clerk.

The minutes were agreed as a true record of the meeting and were signed by Cllr James.
P/07/42 Matters Arising from the Meeting of the 30 May 2007
P/07/36 Forbes Road Parking – Cllr Warrener reported that he will continue to progress this with the Transport Liaison Group.
Members expressed concerns at the parking outside 106 Springvale Road. The clerk was asked to contact the developer.

P/07/36 WCC Rural Affordable Housing Information – Cllr James reported that only one copy of the leaflets was available to each parish council. She will try to obtain a further copy as a member of the public.

P/07/45 Clerk’s Notices
The clerk had received the following documents;
- Fraser Road Service Road to the Church Hall – Disabled Parking Bay – a request from a parishioner for an additional disabled parking bay. Members asked the clerk to pursue this with WCC.

- 3, 6 & 9 Court Road – a letter from WCC indicating that Infinity Homes had lodged an appeal with the Planning Inspectorate. Any representation should be received by the 17 July 2007.
- 06/03724/FUL 3 Park Lane Abbots Worthy – a letter from WCC inviting a representative to speak at the Planning Development Control Committee on the 3 July 2007 with regard to this application. Cllr James agreed to discuss this with Cllr Pidduck with regard to representation.

- 07/00047/REF 19 Sycamore Drive – a letter from WCC indicating the Mr Paul Faires has lodged an appeal with the DOE regarding crown reducing a Hawthorne tree. Views on the matter should be sent within 21 days.
- Top Field – a letter from a resident of Ilex Close highlighting the need for the Top Field to be retained as a public open space. Cllr Culhane indicated that much of the area was a designated open space in the WCC District Plan.
