The public enquiry into the massive and controversial 2000 home development at Barton Farm has been postponed.
Following the new planning policy recently announced by the government, CALA Homes the developers have asked the Planning Inspectorate at Bristol, who are to conduct the Inquiry, for a postponement.
They have agreed and the public inquiry will not go ahead as planned on 7 September 2010.
A new date for the inquiry will now be set for sometime in the future.
The final decision on whether to allow the development to go ahead will be made by the Secretary of State after receiving a recommendation from the Planning Inspector who will conduct the inquiry.
