2. CONFIRM MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held on 9 January 2007 were read and agreed – proposed by Councillor Curling and seconded by Councillor Hatchett. The agenda to be amended as it should be annual public meeting and not annual general meeting at item 10.
3. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Footpath from School Lane to St Swithuns Church – Councillor Pearcey has met council representative on site and their suggestion was to pack it with hardcore and make run off ditch for water alongside. Parish Council not happy with this and would like long steps down the slope. Councillor Pearcey to pursue. Finger post at top in hand as is handrail near watercress beds.
4 PLANNING
Only planning application received was fro Kings Worthy Primary School which is not in Headbourne Worthy but no objections anyway.
- Motocross. Concerns once again raised as to the state of Down Farm Lane with the edges being badly rutted by the lorries and road very muddy and dangerous when wet. Letter to be sent to Highways Dept.
5. FINANCE
End of year accounts attached.
6. GENERAL AMENITIES
Footpaths – Grass cutting to commence shortly with same contractor if he wishes to continue. Quote to be obtained for bus shelter and bench (School Lane) to be rubbed down and treated – clerk to arrange.
London Road Improvements – meeting to be held with Highways on 11 April – Councillors Stephens and Pearcey to attend.
Litter Pick Up – reminder notices to be placed on notice board and outside home of Councillor Spurling to remind people. Bags etc will be provided. Note to say volunteers attend at their own risk.
Speed Limits – Parish council have agreed to apply for 30 mph speed limit on roads within village – clerk to apply to Highways.
7. NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
There was a Neighbourhood Watch report circulated from Margaret Filley who has taken over from Mark Walford. The burglary in Bedfield Lane was discussed.
8. INFORMATION ON ANY CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED
The movement of the reports etc had worked well and everybody had moved them on fairly quickly. Mayor’s Sunday Service – clerk is unable to attend therefore Councillors Stephens and Rutter will attend.
9. COMMUNICATIONS/WEBSITE FOR VILLAGE
Councillor Jane Rutter was thanked for her hard work in producing the first Newsletter for the parish. There had been a number of positive comments from the parishioners.
The council decided that there would be 3 newsletters per year.
Councillors Rutter and Curling had had a joint meeting with Kings Worthy to discuss the sharing of a website. They will present their views and findings at the July meeting and there are plans for it to be up and rubbing by October this year.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 10 July 2007 at 19.15 hours at St Marys Hall Kings Worthy.
