2. CONFIRM MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held on 10 July 2007 were read and agreed – proposed by Councillor Pearcey and seconded by Councillor Curling.
3. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Any matters arising are covered by items on the agenda.
4. PLANNING
- Motocross. Ongoing matter
- The only planning applications were for new swimming pool cover at Little Acre and an extension in Pudding Lane – no objections were raised to either.
5. FINANCE
Balance of accounts to date were circulated.
The precept for 2008/2009 will be considered at the next meeting in January 2008.
6. GENERAL AMENITIES
Footpaths - the parish council extended thanks to all those involved in the repairs to the footpath from School Lane to church and council to write letter of thanks to those concerned. Finger posts to be chased up.
- some parish councillors would like access to Nuns Walk from Headbourne Worthy, Councillor Wood is looking into this to see if any access possible.
- concern was expressed about weeds etc growing in gullies and through the tarmac, also about the amount of ragwort not being removed.
- clerk to chase up council regarding cycle path and edging pavement with white line.
Village 30 project - Councillor Pearcey and clerk had a meeting with Mr Mott Gifford re boundaries for 30 mph within village. The views of the parish council had been obtained before meeting and limits were agreed as per their views. Speed in the village will be monitored.
- concern was expressed about vehicles parking on green spaces and Councillor Porter to look at wooden bollards for Pudding Lane area.
Churchyard - grass has now been cut.
- the war memorial has broken off the top (not vandalism but wear and tear) and is to be repaired at a cost of £415 plus VAT. Parish council have duty to maintain war memorials and therefore will pay full cost of repairs.
- wreath for Remembrance Day to be obtained.
Street Furniture - the signpost at junction Down Farm Lane and Wellhouse Lane has been repaired.
- quote received for refurbishment of bus shelter £380 and benches £90 each.
Parish council agreed for work to be carried out.

8. INFORMATION ON ANY CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED
Debbie Found, clerk of South Wonston Parish Council is setting up meeting with Chairs from South Wonston, Headbourne Worthy and Kings Worthy on a 6 monthly basis as all councils have overlapping problems and concerns.
9. COMMUNICATIONS/WEBSITE FOR VILLAGE
Next newsletter to be published shortly and details of ‘Village 30 Project’ to be included. A number of positive comments have been received regarding the newsletter.
Councillor Curling stated progress on the website construction has been slow due to the Kings Worthy Parish Council not agreeing with contents to be included. Headbourne Worthy have said they will go ahead with it even if Kings Worthy pull out.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 8 January 2008 at 19.15 hours at St Marys Hall, Kings Worthy.
