The Worthy’s Local History Group Next Meeting

‘The Turnpike Road Through The Worthys’
1750 -1845

All visitors and friends are warmly welcome. There is a small door charge of £1.50, whilst members are free.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available at the end of the evening for a small charge.

The WLHG have recently published their latest Worthys History No 13 available from both Post Offices and the Good Life Centre at £3.

Alternatively it is available at any WHLG meeting or buy direct from WHLG members, Peter Finn, Pamela Johnston or Jean Merrikin at £2.50.

A mail order facility is also available via the WLHG website

This latest 37 page publication includes details on Turnpike Road through the Worthys 1759-1845.The Worthys Scrap Books 1987-2007 plus History of the Road Names of the Springvale Estate and ever heard of gutta- percha?

Also available is the new church history on sale at the Post Offices and Good Life Centre for £6.
